Why brand names are hard to spell

Brands deliberately bend spelling for distinctiveness, and the result is names no spelling rule predicts: the silent letters in Givenchy, the doubled letters in Adidas variants people mistype, the order of vowels in Hyundai, the unexpected letters in Huawei and Porsche. When you need to spell one on a phone call, in a job application or in a support ticket, guessing produces errors that look careless. Spelling it in code words - P as in Papa, O as in Oscar, R as in Romeo - removes every doubt.

How to use it
