The three Starters papers

Pre A1 Starters is made up of three papers, exactly as in the real exam. You can sit a whole test or practise one paper at a time:

How Starters is scored

Starters has no pass or fail — it is designed to be a positive experience for young learners. Children earn up to five shields on each paper; five shields shows very good understanding. On 7ESL each completed paper also gives XP.
