Cloze Challenge is a fast, free fill-in-the-blank English grammar game built for ESL learners. Each round serves five sentences with one missing word, gives you four choices, and ninety seconds on the clock. You can pick a single grammar topic — prepositions, articles, conditionals, phrasal verbs, collocations, reported speech and more than thirty others — or play the daily mix that touches all of them.
The combo system rewards consecutive correct answers with a multiplier, so the game keeps the pressure on right to the last question. Are explanations provided after each question?
Yes. After every answer, correct or wrong, the game shows a short plain-English explanation of why the right option is right. It calls out the grammar rule (for example "after 'if' in a second conditional, use past simple") so you can fix the misunderstanding immediately instead of repeating the same mistake.
