About Verb Conjugation
Verb Conjugation is a free ESL grammar game that drills the most fundamental skill in English: picking the correct form of a verb for the tense, person and number a sentence needs. Each round serves five short sentences on a 90-second timer. Each sentence has one verb in square brackets in its base form — for example, "She [go] to school every day." — and you choose between four conjugated forms: go, goes, going, went. The right answer here is "goes" because present simple with he/she/it adds -s.
Verb conjugation looks easy at A1 (just add -s for he/she/it, right?) but it gets harder fast: past simple has dozens of irregular verbs (go-went, eat-ate, see-saw, buy-bought); present continuous needs the right form of "be" plus -ing; present perfect needs has/have plus a past participle, not the past simple; and the conditionals (second and third) need very specific tense pairs in the if-clause that even B2 learners often miss.
