Color Magic
Read the colour word, then tap the matching splash of colour to make magic sparkles. A bright first colours game for ages 4-9.
About Color Magic
Color Magic is a free colour-words game that turns learning red, blue and yellow into a little fireworks show. Each round shows one big English colour word, and a set of bright colour splashes pops up around it. Your child reads the word — or hears it read aloud by a grown-up — and taps the matching splash.
Get it right and the screen bursts into happy magic sparkles in exactly that colour, which is the kind of instant, joyful feedback young children remember. A round of ten colours takes only a couple of minutes and reshuffles every time, so the game never plays the same way twice. Colour words are among the very first English words children learn, and for good reason: they are short, concrete, useful in every classroom, and easy to point to in the real world.
Color Magic drills all the core colours — red, blue, green, yellow, orange, purple, pink, brown, black and white — using the Pre-A1 word list, and sneaks in a few fun bonus shades as children improve. The game is made for ages four to nine: pre-readers learn the colours by sight and sound, while early readers practise recognising the written words. Like every kids game on 7ESL, Color Magic is completely free with no ads inside the game, no sign-up and no daily limit — play it on the sofa, in the classroom or in the car, and collect a sticker for the album with every three-star round.

Frequently asked questions
What age is Color Magic for?
Color Magic is aimed at children roughly four to nine years old. Preschoolers learn to match colours and hear the words read aloud by a grown-up; early primary kids practise reading the colour words by sight. It also works as a cheerful warm-up for older beginners meeting English colours for the first time.
Is Color Magic free?
Yes, 100% free. There are no ads inside the game, no purchases and no premium version. It plays straight in the browser with nothing to download, and children join as guests — no account or sign-up is ever required.
Which colours does Color Magic teach?
The core ten Pre-A1 colour words: red, blue, green, yellow, orange, purple, pink, brown, black and white. As children improve, a few fun bonus shades like grey and gold appear. Every word is always paired with its real colour, so meaning stays concrete.
Does my child need to read to play?
A little reading helps but is not required to start. The colour words are very short, and most children learn to recognise them by sight within a few rounds — especially when an adult reads the word aloud at first. Matching the written word to the visible colour is itself a gentle first reading exercise.
Is there a daily limit on Color Magic?
No. Color Magic is freely replayable with no daily challenge and no lockout. Every round shuffles new colours and new splash positions, so children can play as many rounds as they like, every day — and earn a sticker for the album with each three-star game.
