The 7ESL Learning & Practice tools form one connected study loop around your personal word deck. Save any word from anywhere on the site into My Vocabulary, review it as spaced-repetition flashcards, then practise the same words actively with the Spelling Trainer. Grow your deck with the daily Word of the Day and browse target words with the CEFR Word Lists. Your profile ties it together: the Overview tab shows your progress, and the Vocabulary tab holds your deck and what is due today.
What each tool is for
Every tool in the suite has one job, and they all point at the same deck. My Vocabulary holds the words and schedules the flashcard reviews. The Spelling Trainer and Dictation Practice come at those same words from the opposite direction, making you produce them from sound rather than recognise them on sight. The Irregular Verbs Trainer and the Conjugator drill the forms that reading alone never seems to fix, and Commonly Misspelled Words covers the traps almost every learner walks into. When your own reading is not throwing up enough new material, the CEFR Word Lists and the Word of the Day supply it at a level you choose.
Where to start
Create a free account, read anything on 7ESL, and select a word you don't know — press the "＋ Save" bubble. From that moment the loop runs itself: the dashboard tells you what is due, the flashcards bring words back on schedule, and the trainers turn passive recognition into active recall. A few minutes a day beats an hour once a week.
Why the loop is built this way
Two findings from language research shape the whole suite. The first is that recall beats review: struggling to retrieve a word, even briefly, fixes it far more firmly than reading it again, which is why the trainers ask you to produce a word instead of just showing it to you. The second is that timing matters more than volume. A word met once and never revisited fades within days, while the same word met again just as it starts to slip is held for progressively longer each time — so the reviews are spaced out rather than crammed. This is also why the tools share one deck instead of keeping separate lists: a word you saved from an article, met again in a flashcard and then had to spell correctly has been encountered three different ways, and that variety is what makes it stick.

Do I need an account?
A free account unlocks the deck, dashboard, streak and personalised practice. The Word of the Day and Irregular Verbs Trainer also work without one.
Where do I see my progress?
On your profile. The Overview tab shows your progress across skills; the Vocabulary tab holds your saved words and the flashcards due today. The daily tools (Spelling Trainer, Word of the Day, Irregular Verbs Trainer) are all on the English Practice page.
How do I add words to my deck?
Select any word while reading on 7ESL and press the "＋ Save" bubble that appears. You can also add words from the Word of the Day and the CEFR Word Lists, and every tool in this suite then works on that same deck.
How long should I practise each day?
Clear whatever the dashboard shows as due — usually a few minutes. Reviewing a little every day works better than one long session, because the schedule is built to bring each word back just as you are about to forget it.
