Pronunciation & Spelling Games
Games that train the two skills textbooks skip: how English really sounds, and how its trickiest words are spelled. Hear a brand, name or word, choose the correct respelling, or type what you hear. Every round shows a plain-English respelling and IPA so you learn the sound, not just the answer.

- Which game should I start with?
- Brand Pronunciation Quiz is the most fun way in — household names like Porsche, Givenchy and Hyundai with the mistakes people actually make as the wrong answers. Move to Name Pronunciation Quiz for first names and surnames, then Audio Spelling Bee and Name Spelling Quiz for spelling.
- Do these games have audio?
- Yes. Each prompt is spoken aloud with text-to-speech, and every answer shows a respelling (like POR-shuh) plus IPA, so you can both hear and read how a word sounds. If audio is muted or unavailable, the respelling is always shown as a fallback.
- Are these games good for ESL learners?
- Very. Brand names, personal names and commonly misspelled words are exactly where learners — and many native speakers — slip up, because they break normal spelling-to-sound rules. Practising them directly builds confidence for real conversations, introductions and writing.
