The 7ESL Spelling Trainer is listen-and-type practice: you hear a word, you spell it, you find out instantly. What makes it different is whose words you practise — signed-in learners train on the exact words saved in their own My Vocabulary deck, so every session reinforces vocabulary you personally chose to learn. Without an account (or with fewer than five saved words) you get a starter set of the most commonly misspelled words in English.
How a session works
Press Start and the trainer plays a word — replay as often as you like. Type it and check: correct answers are confirmed, mistakes show your attempt next to the correct spelling, letter for letter. Ten words per round, with a score and a "practise these again" list at the end, so a five-minute session always ends with a clear result.
Why typing beats reading
Recognising a word and producing it are different skills. Typing from audio forces full recall of the spelling — including the silent letters and double consonants your eyes skip when reading. It is the same reason dictation survives in classrooms after two centuries: production is where spelling actually sticks.

Which words will I practise?
If you are signed in and have at least five single words in My Vocabulary, the trainer uses your own deck. Otherwise you get a starter set of commonly misspelled English words.
Where does the audio come from?
From 7ESL's recorded pronunciations where available, with your browser's speech synthesis as a fallback — so it works for any word.
How many words per round?
Ten, chosen randomly. Words you miss are listed at the end so you can replay them, and you can start a new round instantly.
Does it check capital letters?
No — checking is case-insensitive. Only the spelling itself is marked.
