Anagram
Unscramble the daily letters into one big word — every sub-word counts too. CEFR-tagged for ESL.
About Anagram
Anagram is a free daily English word scramble built for ESL vocabulary practice. Every day you get six or seven scrambled letters and one goal — rearrange them into the full English word for the biggest score. The clever twist is that every shorter sub-word you can build from the same letters also counts: a three-letter word adds a small score, a four-letter word adds more, and the full anagram is the jackpot.
That means even when you cannot crack the full word you keep gaining points and learning vocabulary along the way. Every letter pool is drawn from the 7ESL lexicon and the answers are CEFR-tagged from A2 to C1, so the difficulty is realistic for English learners, not native crossword champions. After you submit the round you see the full word list with definitions, IPA pronunciation and example sentences, turning a quick puzzle into a vocabulary mini-lesson.
Anagram suits learners who want a slightly meatier daily challenge than Wordle, B1 to C1 students looking to expand active vocabulary, teachers who need a five-minute warm-up, and anyone who enjoys word search and letter games. Play instantly as a guest with no sign-up; log in only to save XP, streak and your personal best score.

Frequently asked questions
How do I play Anagram?
You get six or seven shuffled letters at the top of the screen. Tap letter tiles in order to spell a word, then press Submit. Any real English word of three or more letters that uses only the available letters scores points. The jackpot is finding the full-length word that uses every tile — but every shorter sub-word along the way still counts.
How is the score calculated?
Longer words earn more points. A three-letter word is worth a small base score, four-letter words double it, and so on. Finding the full anagram (all six or seven letters in one word) is the biggest single bonus. There is also a perfection bonus if you find every possible word in the round, though that is genuinely hard.
Is the dictionary fair for ESL learners?
Yes. The valid word list is the 7ESL lexicon, filtered to A2 to C1 CEFR levels. Obscure scientific terms, proper nouns, and archaic words are excluded, so you are not competing with native-only Scrabble vocabulary. After the round you see every accepted word with its CEFR tag and definition.
Can I learn vocabulary playing Anagram?
Yes — that is the main design goal. The post-round reveal shows the complete list of valid words with definitions, IPA pronunciation, part of speech, and example sentences. Every round teaches you a handful of words you did not find, and rebuilding the letters in your head fixes the spelling. It is one of the strongest passive-to-active vocabulary tools on the site.
Is Anagram free and mobile friendly?
Yes. Anagram is completely free with no sign-up needed. The tap interface was designed for phones first — letter tiles are large 44px touch targets, the answer area is fixed at the top of the screen so it never gets covered by the keyboard, and the entire game runs in portrait on a phone without horizontal scroll.
