How to use the Word Finder
Start by entering up to fifteen letters. Use a question mark or a space for a blank tile, and the finder will treat it as a wildcard that can stand for any letter. Then narrow the list with the filters that matter to you: set an exact word length, require a specific starting or ending letter, or supply a contains-pattern to find words with a particular letter sequence anywhere inside them. Each result is a clickable, information-rich row rather than a flat list.
Reading the result badges
Every word comes with badges so you can choose at a glance. The Scrabble score badge shows the tile value of the word, helping you spot the highest-scoring plays. The CEFR level badge (A1 to C2) tells learners how common and how advanced a word is, so you can study at the right difficulty. The frequency band shows how often the word appears in real English, and the part of speech badge marks whether it is a noun, verb, adjective and so on. Game-validity badges confirm whether a word is legal in Words With Friends, the North American TWL list, or the international SOWPODS list.
